I can see there are several topics related to this item, but I can't find anyone actually having the instructions for this crane when it comes to decoder settings.

I have got a second hand crane and some one tried to program it - and I need to set it back to factory settings.

CV8=8 does not to work as with normal decoders

As far as I understand it's supposed to be used with 14 speed steps but I also find others articles telling something else - like https://www.digitrax.com/tsd/KB876/roco-...itrax-throttle/

Which CV's exists and what are their recommended settings ?

However can't find wich CV settings were originally in the crane.

Hi,

there are now CV to change/read. It has a decoder with manuell DIP switches.

Take care by opening the body of the crane.

I am both able to program and read the decoder. Guess this would not be possible with a dip switch decoder ?

I have no isntruction so I don't know how to open it - any ideas ?

You have to follow this carefully:

Start opening at the two latching tabs FIRST at the front of the boom, to do this, with a small watchmaker's screwdriver, lever the housing from below, BEWARE that nothing breaks. Then carefully lift the housing a little and then pry the rear latching legs on, also work from below with the screwdriver as a lever.

Hello,
usually roco uses adress 7, 8 or 9 DCC14. My crane with yellow LED has adress 8.

Finally made it. I had to set speed steps in my command station to 28, not 14 as expected :)
