Uwe und Holger viele Dank für Ihre gütigen Frage.

Weiteren Fortschritt auf DB Neubaukessl 03.1073.
Sein jetzt selbsbau trennt aus Kunststoffkarte, Messingstreifen und Schachplatte, mit Weinert Bits.
Die vorderen Rahmen (Kunststoffkarte) wurden aufgebaut und haben angestrichen, bevor zu werden befestigt.

Further progress on DB Neubaukessl 03.1073.
Its now scratchbuilding parts out of plastic card, Brass strip and chequer plate, with Weinert bits.
The front frames(plastic card) were built up as a sub assembly and painted before being attached.

Hello Holger,

The 03.10 neubaukessel is the locomotive I have been waiting for someone to make, but gave up waiting, so thought that I had better make one myself.
The locomotives were a common sight in Wuppertal, so I needed them to complete my layout.
Thinking about the model, I should have used the boiler from a Roco DB BR42 and used Weinert parts to complete the model, it would have been easier.

really appreciating your project, great work. But a question arises: Why didn't you use the Weinert kit for the 03.10? I wouldn't say it's easy to build, but looking at your work you would easily be able to complete one!

Thank you for your encouragement.

The main reason for me taking the method of building I have is that I wanted an exercise that used commercially available parts, from the main manufactures and to use Weinert or scratch build when the parts were not available from these sources, it also creates a very enjoyable challenge.
Also the other motivation was cost, I wanted to see if the model could be built at a fraction of the cost of other available models.
I have been very lucky and managed to buy all the parts I need on Ebay, except the Weinert Brass castings.
At the present time I have spent 122 Euros, so I think a low cost is achievable and a quality model can be made.
Please do not misunderstand; I think Weinert Locomotives are the Rolls Royce of HO models.

Ein Kleines mehr ist, seit der letzten Rate gemacht worden.
Pufferbohle ist vollendet worden, footplates von Messing.
Unter Kessel, der von Messingblatt gemacht wird,
Indusi ist ein Roco Ersatzteil Teil.
Beschriftungs von Weinert
Nächster Phase wird die Kesselrohrleitung sein.

A Little more has been done, since the last instalment.
Pufferbeam has been completed, footplates from brass.
Lower firebox made from brass sheet
Indusi is a Roco spare part.
Markings from Weinert
Next stage will be the boiler piping.

Gutenabend-Modelleisenbahn Kollegen!
Traurig für die in Bewegungreports der Verzögerung, aber einen Freund, der auf einem homepage http://www.albertrain.be/ voll Roco des Ersatzteils geklebt wird, bedeckt, Dieses ist wertvoll in helfenden Quelteilen für das Projekt gewesen.
Ich bestellte Roco Teil 105950 Umlaufblecht Komplett für das 01.10, das am Freitag ankam, dieses habe soviel feines Detail, das als Wiedereinbaumaßeinheit für die, die benutzt wird ich war, im Messing eigenhändig zu bilden und mich eine zwei-Wochen-Arbeit mit einem Lötkolben speichert.
Die Reserven betrachtend, bedecken Sie gab mir eine gute Entschuldigung auch, um das Liliput Fahrerhaus wegzuwerfen und es durch das korrekte Roco zu ersetzen 03.10 eins, Teilenummer 117458. So, sobald die Teile von Roco ankommen, ist das Projekt zurück auf Schiene.

Good Evening Model railroad Collegues!

Sorry for the delay in progress reports, but a friend passed on a homepage http://www.albertrain.be/ full of Roco Spare part sheets,
This has proved to be valuable in helping source parts for the project.
I ordered Roco part 105950 Gangway assembly for the 01.10, which arrived on Friday, this has so much fine detail, which will be used as a replacement unit for the one I was going to make by hand in Brass, saving me two weeks work with a soldering iron.
Looking at the spares sheet also gave me a good excuse to discard the Liliput Drivers cab and replace it with the correct Roco 03.10 one, Part number 117458.
So once the parts arrive from Roco the project will be back on track.

Hallo Modellbahn Kollegen,

Als Sie von den Bildern sehen können, habe ich die Lokomotive zu seinen Grundbestandteilen zerlegt und habe wieder angefangen. Vieles vom Model Loco Teile ausgeschieden worden und Weinert Teile sind benutzt worden, sie zu ersetzen.
Die Heizkesselinstallation ist teils vollendet und ist mit allen Messinganschlüssen, der Fuß besteigt gemacht worden und unter Heizkesselinstallation ist der Roco Teil für eine 01.10, ein sehr detaillierter Bauteil, als Sie sehen können.
Alle Rot paintwork ist mit Weinert Farbe gemacht.
Fortschritt ist langsam, hauptsächlich auf Grund mich wollen bessere Qualitätenteile.
Traurig die Bilder sind ein kleines auf der dunklen Seite.

As you can see from the pictures, I have stripped the locomotive down to its basic parts and started again.
A lot of the Model Loco parts have been discarded and Weinert parts have been used to replace them.
The boiler plumbing is part complete and has been made with all Brass fittings, the foot boards and under boiler plumbing is the Roco part for a 01.10, a very highly detailed component as you can see.
All the Red paintwork is done with Weinert paint.
Progress is slow, mainly due to me wanting better quality parts.
Sorry the pictures are a little on the dark side.

Nur genommen der liliput 01.10 (Wien) Chassis für die 03.10 zur Garage, einige Drähte zu den Rädernwahlenhöhen zu löten, und unfaller hat es auf den konkreten Stock geklopft ops: (ich weiß, dass ich den Lötkolben hätte erhalten sollen, und hat benutzt es in der Küche)
Gebrochen der linke Zylinderblock und Steuerung!
Nur es alle in Ekel geschnappt haben weggepackt!
Ich werde zu Quelle neuen Teilen, jemand könnte erinnern mich von einem Händler bitte brauchen?

Hi everyone,

Just taken the liliput 01.10 (Wien) chassis for the 03.10 to the garage, to solder some wires to the wheel pick ups and accidently knocked it onto the concrete floor ops: ( I know I should have got the soldering iron and used it in the kitchen)
Broken the left hand cylinder block and snapped the connecting rods on the same side
Just packed it all away in disgust!
I will need to source new parts, could anyone remind me of a stockist please?
