Hallo everybody,

My project is to convert my analogue Roco Br57 to DCC and to weather it according to typical TCDD 55001.

Here she is before conversion:

First I dismantelled the loco for exploration:

There is unfortunatelly no room for a decoder. The loco body is all weight and the only place for a decoder is the coal weight which has to be replaced

The PCB unit of which we get rid of all the chokes

I have also prepared SMD LED's to replace the front & back lights, one inside cab and one insde the firebox to flicker.

here is how they look with 1.7K resistors attached

..and in the firebox:

The decoder I used is a loksound and it sits on top of the motor:

The lokführer and stoker inserted:

the decoder inside mounted

prepared a cover for it and used real coal

here is how the cab and firebox looks:

also prepared a cow catcher from brass angles and front lantern from Weinert

..and here is how she looks finally, enjoy:

Gruss

Hallo Erkut

Well done ! I'm really impressed.

What I like most is the drivers cab. The firebox and all the colored instruments loking very good.
There are many nice details on your Lokomotive.
And of course - these are very good pictures.
Congratulation !

Gruss Martin
