Hi abdusta,
the broken windows!
How did you do that?
Greetings

Broken windows did during moulding
with hand made within seconds just before drying the rezin
this technique could not applicable for ready kits.

SHANTY
Hi,
Today I present my Tipic Turkish shanty hand works.
This is a mould works for a modular rezin production
I use for columns evergreen sticks
These moduler parts could be easily modified for obtain
2-3 flats or more wider-narrow buildings
You see construction iron sprout on roof.
20 years ago people built and left the roof as seen,
till municipal elections and trying to complete unlicencied constructon.
I found a photo of mr.Markus Göttert very famous German gent, Turkish railways lover with his deeply photo archive for 20-10 years ago.
This photo has been taken summer of 1989 in Selcuk station.
The fllwgs pictures narrating itself how to change rezin to shanty.

Good days
Most of kits what I need not selling in box.
Naturally I use sometimes ready objects such as evergreen sticks and
faller remain parts especially doors-windows etc.
For example for Selcuk project one of the biggest building
just next to station is TABACCO DEPOT
for modeling this building I prepared a master mould of 1/3 rd part of the building marked yellow lines. after more study on the mould
for details and putty. I copied the pieces in silicone mould.
The connection points camouflaged by black pipes
On the other hand by this master mould could built different types
of stone building -depots.
I add another bigger shanty house works you see how I use the
mould of first shanty house in different way
I paint with waterbased spray tamiya colors white and bit grey
for the roof orange and bit brown.
These based colors after 24 hours drying will hold the guaj colors
for stone gay and bricks red and finally with oil based paints will
complete the effects and weathering.

Hello Abd, this is really great work! I admire those who can make their own moulds. Regarding the Tobacco depot, aren't you worried that using the same brick pattern three times isn't easily spotted?
Looking forward to meet you and Erkut in Dortmund,
Frank
Hello Frank You are right for use same moulds, with paints and effects
I tried to settle said question
For example below pictures
If carefully checked walls of 1st shanty and this is same moulds
we also looking forward to meet you in Dortmund.

Hello
There is no original model production for Turkish Locos.
so you have to modify the locos with limted photos found.
I cut-add-paste-paint and make this steam loco 55043 used in Selcuk
station
It was modified from br57

Good days
I was in Selcuk this weekend for smelling, feel, observation and most important to collect historical evidence of my working period 1980-1985,I talked with many retired railway workers in Selcuk.
I know in many countries it is prohibited to enter the Cab of Trains
However if you are a modeller and living in Turkey all doors opening for you including bonus to drive the train for a short time.
First visited selcuk depot to compare with model
At 11.30 hrs train arrived in time,we crew on board immediately.
signalisation by human as same in historical years.
we are on the way of AYDIN
continue..
regards
a.usta
