ja ja das kennen wir schon, da nimmt man ein Landschaftsfoto in die Hand, hält den Daumen drauf und schon ist es ein Modellbahnfoto - also bei der Baumqualität kann ich es Dir mit dem Fotobeweis nicht so einfach machen. Nur schade, dass man das mit dem bloßen Auge in 1:160 gar nicht mehr richtig sehen kann. Ich hoffe die Kunstwerke werden irgendwo in aller erster Reihe auf der Anlage platziert.

Second try today. Few wooly / decotwister fibers on the brances, second layer with 6mm grassfibers with the grasmaster, flatten them with tweezers or fingers and add a 3rt layer with 2mm grasfibers with a teasieve. Coloring with a rattlecan, after that 1mm Polak grassfibers color pine added with the grassmaster..

Hello Martin, really realistic your trees, even the trunk is perfect.
I see from your results that Polak is also excellent for grass mats not only for the already packed!

es ist unglaublich, was hier gezeigt wird! Da fehlen mir schon lange die Worte für, und ich habe auch schon ne Menge Bäume gebaut.

AAAAber, viel beeindruckender finde ich die hier vertretene internationale Gemeinschaft!

Hallo.
Es ist mir eine Frage? Ich habe diese Bäume mit Hilfe "Noch Gras Master". Die erste Schicht aus Gras 6mm (mit N.G.M.). Die zweite Schicht aus Gras 6mm durch ein Sieb (ohne N.G.M. ) Eine dritte Schicht aus Gras 2mm (mit N.G.M.).

Well I have another challenge, checking out Bernard Kempinskis Civil War layout thread I found that the southern yellow pine would be a great challenge to build.
Decided to go for the loblolly pine or Pinus Taeda as the first ones to be build..

Du hast echt eine Wunderschöne Anlage mach nur weiter so.

So I made a start today on a picturebase and the loblolly pines. As a base I used a tapered dowel (think it's Ramin wood) tapered it with the cordless drill and a beltsander...



drilled a small hole in the top and glued in a 1,5mm piece of floristwire..



After this dried I started twisting 0.6mm floristwire around the 1.5mm core wire..



Bernie told me this kinda trees have the branches in somekinda ring around the trunk. So I tried to get 4-6 wires only one twist seperated from eachother..




Making 10 - 18 turns before doin the next ones it looks like this when you're done..



Now superglue the whole top and after that cut the loops open..



After this I dril holes in the wooden trunk and add 0.6mm single wire and twisted wires..





Superglue on the twisted wires and the trunk / branch connection al the wires are getting a quick coat of a cheap primer out of the rattle can..



Thats it for now, more to follow..

I think this tree is young. With age the form of krone changes. Such tree is really difficult for making.

Mochte gerne vorbild bilder sehen. Wenn's geht um altere baume.

Working on the branches and top of the tree today. After priming and drying I put a mixture of 50% white glue 25% wallsealant and 25% latex wallpaint on the wireframes and cover them up with sieved MDF sawdust



Hardest part, covering up the transition between the wireframe and the dowel trunk



sometimes it needs 2 or 3 coats to hide it..



after finishing applying the sawdust I give it a overal coat with the tree mix. Rearranged the branches a bit..

I do call it a wall sealant, dunno what it's called over the pond. It's a waterbased transparent stuff you use before you're painting a drywall or stuccowall.
Latex is a waterbased wallpaint I use it in the color Ral 8022

Ich versuche mich auch an div, Bäumen , aber was ich hier sehe ist schon Oberklasse
Ich hätte da mal eine Frage dazu, kann ich hier ein paar Fotos einstellen, um ein Feedback zu erhalten, oder ist das bestimmten Leuten vorbehalten, wie gesagt bin noch relativ neu und kenne mich mit den Regeln noch nicht aus.
